Philadelpha, MD — Son Eun seong seo’s debut as an actor at the New York Comic Con on Saturday was a “shocking” experience for many locals, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Seong, who starred in the film “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” said he and his family had been planning a private screening of the movie to honor the late Christopher Reeve’s legacy.
But the audience at the event was stunned by Seong’s performance in “Avenger,” which was released on July 12.
“It was so disorienting, and I felt so uncomfortable, so I went back to my seat and I was sitting there for 20 minutes, and my mom was there, and then I walked up to her and I said, ‘Son, are you OK?'” he told the Los Angles Times.
“She said, you’re not, but I told her that I was.
She said, what are you talking about?””
I didn’t even know if he was dead,” he added.
“I was sitting at my seat, and a minute later my mom and I started crying, because we had just watched him die, and we had seen him die.”
Seong told the Times he was “shocked” to hear the reaction of many locals.
He said the reactions he received were “shameful” and “disappointmentful.”
“I’m not saying it was the right time to go,” he said.
“But it was very disorientating.”
Seok told the LA Times that he hopes to make a “major movie” with his character, which he is calling “the most popular actor in the world.”
He added that he was considering an acting career in the future.
The LA Times reports that Seong said he’s been contacted by some friends in China, and plans to make his own film there.
